چکیده
The law of errors is the first example of a theory of fluctuations. It deals with sums of a large numberN of values σ1, . . . , σN occurring randomly with probability p(σ) equal for each pair of opposite values (i.e. p(σ) = p(−σ)), hence with 0 average. If the possible values of each σ are finitely many (and at least two) their sum can be of an order of magnitude as large as the number N , however such a large value is very improbable for large N and deviations from the average of the order of the square root of N follows the errors law, also called normal law, of Gauss

The Impact of Financial Market Fluctuations on Financial Instability in the Iranian Economy: The Wavelet based Markov Switching Model
In this study, the effect of fluctuations of asset markets (exchange rate, oil price and stock market index) on financial instability index over a period of 1388-1397 monthly is investigated by using the Markov Switching model. The wavelet transform model is used to extract exchange rate fluctuations, oil prices and stock market index. The results show that the effect of exchange rate fluctuati...
متن کاملHow the Nonextensivity Parameter Affects Energy Fluctuations
In this article, the effect of the nonextensivity parameter on the energy fluctuations of nonextensive systems is studied in two different versions of the Tsallis statistical mechanics. Once a general expression has been reported for the energy fluctuations in the second version (Tsallis work in 1988), the energy fluctuations of an ideal gas and a harmonic oscillator are studied in the second a...
متن کاملThe Effect of Asymmetric Fluctuations of Exchange Rate and Oil Price on Stock Index of Tehran Stock Exchange
The aim of this study was to investigate the asymmetric effects of exchange rate fluctuations on Stock index of Tehran Stock Exchange. For this purpose, we first calculated the exchange rate fluctuations using model General Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedastic (GARCH), and then the effect of these fluctuations on the Stock index of Tehran Stock Exchange was estimated using the Generalized...
متن کاملDoes Agriculture Price Index Respond to Exchange Rate Fluctuations in Iran?
Since some raw materials, semi manufactured, intermediate and capital goods in agricultural sector are imported, the exchange rate fluctuations can affect the cost price of products in this sector. Recently, we are facing considerable fluctuations in exchange rate that has an important impact on all sectors including the agriculture. As a result of an increase in import prices in agricultural r...
متن کاملSpillover Fluctuations between Inflation and Un(employment) Concerning Different Macroeconomic Sectors in Iran
The main objective of this study is to analyze spillover fluctuations between inflation fluctuation and (un)employment fluctuation in relation to agriculture, industry and services sectors of Iran. In line with this, PANEL in Mean-MGARCH model has been used concerning Iran’s agriculture, industry and services sectors over the period of time from spring 2002 to winter 2016. The results show that...
متن کاملThe Effect of Business Cycle Fluctuations on Import Protection in Selected Developing Countries
In recent decades, theorists proposed the role of domestic components such as interior active groups, policies and macroeconomic indicators on determination of protection policies. In the context of recent studies, this study has investigated the effect of business cycle fluctuations on import protection for selected developing countries in 1995-2011 by using dynamic panel data method. Furtherm...
